Bringing new resources to Chicago

Since its launch, CWIC has:

  • Raised $13.7 million in new workforce funding for the City.
  • Coordinated grant applications for City agencies, including a federal application for Green Jobs training, City Colleges programs and a grant for Chicago Public Schools from the Michael Reese Health Trust.
  • Donated over 2,000 hours of consulting to Chicago Public Schools' Career and Technical Education (CTE) program and designed and deployed a comprehensive Work-Based Learning and Employability Program that impacted 23,000 students.

  • Provided staff resources to the City including secret shoppers to assess WIA service; strategy development for the Chicago Department of Family & Support Services; and PR consulting and media training to Chicago Public Schools.

  • Raised $860,000 for CWICstats from workforce funders for workforce development research and evaluation.
