Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago

When it comes to the local labor supply, the line between City and suburbs is blurred. Many Chicago residents work outside the city, and many Chicago businesses recruit talent from the entire metro area. 

Recognizing this, CWIC works closely with the Workforce Investment Boards of the metropolitan Chicago region, partnering on Federal grants and other strategic initiatives with the Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago (WBMC).

WBMC also publishes reports about the region, accessible on their Web site.

Northeast Illinois Workforce Coalition

CWIC is also a lead partner in the Northeast Illinois Workforce Coalition, a group of workforce investment boards and community colleges around the region that share data, strategies and best practices research.
