Marisa Lewis

As Director of Research & Strategy, Marisa helps inform the development of CWIC’s overarching strategy for workforce development in Chicago. She develops tools to communicate that strategy to key audiences and works with City departments and other partners to align workforce programming and funding with that strategy. Marisa ensures that CWIC is a leader in best practices in workforce development and provides technical assistance to City departments that provide workforce development services. She is the liaison to the CWICstats data and research institute at the University of Chicago.

Prior to joining CWIC in 2009, Marisa was a Post Graduate Fellow at the Civic Consulting Alliance in Chicago, a research assistant in the Consulting Division of Policy Studies Inc. in Denver and a consultant for Carlson Environmental.

Marisa received her graduate degree from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. Her undergraduate degree in Public Affairs is from Indiana University.
