Workforce Investment Board

CWIC provides staffing to the Chicago Workforce Investment Board, the federally mandated entity that oversees the investment of the City’s annual Workforce Investment Act (WIA) allocation from the federal government. The membership composition of the board is required to be at least 51% business representation with the balance of members coming from organized labor, economic development agencies, education, mandatory Workforce Center partner agencies, service providers, and civic organizations.
